This friendly squirrel is named Lady Squirrel.

She is very different than most squirrels. Generally the wild squirrels in the back yard are quite skittish. It’s pretty rare for one to even get very close to you when you are outside. However one day when I was taking my time, setting up my camera to take the Squirrel Darth Vader photo, she was wandering around, and became quite curious. Suddenly to my surprise, she jumped right up on me from behind and started gently climbing around.

She continued to do this on occasion, eventually she would come up to me when I was standing in the yard, and would jump right up for a snack. Sometimes if I wasn’t quick enough, she would climb all over, or even dig in my pockets to help herself to whatever nuts were in there.

Photo of a wild gray squirrel inside a basket full of Easter eggs

Happy Easter everyone!

Who needs an Easter bunny, when you have Easter squirrels? This curious little squirrel, who has happily settled into the basket of eggs is named Foldear. Since he often likes to fold his ears back in a unique way that sort of make them fold and crinkle.

Wild squirrel dressed up in Darth Vader costume. Do not underestimate his power.

I am the ruler of all the peanuts in the galaxy.

This squirrel showed up ominously in the yard. He seemed to have the power to transfer thoughts into my head. He demanded that I join his side and rule the galaxy. I tried to resist, but I was no match for his incredible power.

Here is a funny video of our backyard squirrels.

This is something they often do. The squirrels will be just relaxing, wandering around the yard care free, then suddenly out of the blue just start rolling, flipping, running in zig zags, and jumping around for no apparent reason. Maybe they have a sudden intense itch they can’t quite scratch, or maybe they are just having some spontaneous fun. Either way, its pretty hard to catch on camera because its so unpredictable, and they usually just do it for a few seconds at a time. By the time you can grab the camera its usually too late. Nevertheless, I caught some of their crazy antics on video, and made this musical compilation. It starts out slow but ramps, up when the music kicks in, leading up to a hilarious finale.

If enough people like and share this video, I’ll start filming for a part 2 🙂

Huge backflip!

I think a lot of people might be jealous that this squirrel can do better back flips than they can.

These photos are only the beginning. These squirrels did so many tricks on this trampoline, that I have a bunch more photos to add in the near future, so check back soon.

Once again the squirrel does a huge slam dunk.

Another slam dunk.

Taking the ball to the hoop once again for another slam dunk.  If there is ever a squirrel basketball league, this squirrel will be a champ.

This squirrel is quite the little entrepreneur, opening up his own peanut store to sell to the locals.

Squirrel selling peanuts at his peanut stand.

This hard working little squirrel opened up his own peanut stand in the back yard.  Peanuts of all different varieties gathered fresh, and ensured to taste great.

A curious little fellow squirrel comes to visit the peanut stand, and see if there are any goodies.

A customer visits the peanut stand.

Business is going quite well. He’s almost out of inventory and customers are still coming.  I wonder what this little squirrel will buy.

Just because squirrels don’t speak English doesn’t mean they can’t communicate.  Heres some squirrels sharing their feelings on things.
